EDGE 7th & 8th Grades

We closed out our year with a cookout, prayer, games and our annual Kickball fun. We had 3 perfect attendance awards this year! The teens received a gift card to Culvers and all the others who missed 4 days or less received a full-size candy bar. According to the surveys, that the EDGE teens filled out, the young people LOVE the EDGE ministry program here at St Mary-Holy Cross. We had a great year of learning about Saints, the gifts of the Eucharist and much more. We also grew closer as a blessed to be able to accompany them on this amazing faith journey. ​On May 4th, 17 of our youth celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation. It has been a pleasure leading this group through preparation for the sacrament for the last two years. Thank you to our program volunteers, your help is very appreciated. Thank you to those who volunteered to be part of our Liturgy, it was beautiful. Please continue to pray for these young people as they move on to a new chapter of their faith journey.

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you ... plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope. When you call me, and come and pray to me, I will listen to you. Continuing with our series; the Amen app Is yet another wonderful way to stay connected to your faith and the love of Jesus. This app is totally free. Amen is the free Catholic app that brings you beautiful prayers, faithful meditations and nourishing Scripture to draw your mind, body and soul to rest in God. It has been my experience that you can never have too many prayer apps. This is yet another way I try to grow closer to God through my phone. I find that I spend less time doom scrolling and more time being intentional with my valuable time. I find that this app has a calming effect to my mind after a stressful day.
