Committees and Councils
Description

The Parish Council is an advisory board designed to consult with the Pastor regarding aspects of Parish life that support wholeness and holiness. The Council strives to assure that all aspects of parish life reflect the mission and ministry of Jesus. Meetings of the Parish Council are held the fourth Tuesday of each month (except December) at 6:30pm in the Social Hall.

The Finance Council is an appointed advisory council to assist the Pastor in financial matters. It prepares the St. Mary-Holy Cross annual budget, gives advisement to the Pastor on plant repairs and maintenance, and prepares the end of the year Parish Financial Report for the Diocese.  Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month (except December) at 6:30pm in the Conference Room.

The mission of this committee is to develop and foster a Christian Community atmosphere for serving the spiritual and social needs or our Parish - through a total stewardship program of time, talent and treasure.  This commtitee hopes to enhance the participation, involvement and commitment of parishioners by providing a welcoming, open and friendly environment for all members.  Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6:00pm in the Social Hall.
The committee represents both St. Mary-Holy Cross Parish members, and non-members who reside in Washington Township.  The group is committed to assuring that Holy Cross Cemetery will continue to be a beautiful and protected resting place for loved ones in the middle of a rich prairie.  Please feel free to contact any committee members with questions and or requests to purchase plots.
