ST. JOSEPH'S EMERGENCY FAMILY SHELTER Service for Others: We are in need of volunteers to prepare and serve a meal at St. Joseph Family Shelter. If you would like to do this, but have not done it before, we could team you up with someone who has. Contact Person: Mr. Drew Hanlon The St. Joseph Emergency Family Shelter is an emergency haven, in Des Moines, Iowa for local families who are homeless. The Shelter is the only one in the Metro area to provide housing for entire families in need. Members of our Parish give of their talents by preparing and serving a meal to the families. St. Mary-Holy Cross Parish assists the Shelter on the second (2nd) Sunday of each month. If you would be interested in helping to prepare or serve a meal at the Shelter, please contact Mr. Drew Hanlon.
