BAPTISMPlease contact the parish office regarding a Baptism preparation program. FIRST EUCHARIST Annually, leads children to full initiation and regular participation in the Sacrament of Eucharist. The Sacrament of Eucharist enables parents, in consultation with the Pastor and the catechist, to make an informed decision about their children's readiness for immediate catechesis and deepens family attitudes, actions and participation in the worship of the Parish. Children come to the Lord's table with joy and reverence. Please contact Michelle Wirth for more information. Lay Eucharistic Minister The Eucharistic Minister is a lay person authorized to administer the Consecrated Elements at a Celebration of Holy Eucharist. A Eucharistic Minister would perform their ministry under the direction of Fr. Dan Krettek or Deacon Rev. Mr. Jerry Barnwell. A Eucharistic Visitor is a lay person authorized to take the Consecrated Elements following a Celebration of Holy Eucharist to members of the congregation who, by reason of illness or infirmity, were unable to be present at the Celebration. A Eucharistic Visitor would also exercise that ministry under the direction and discretion of Fr. Dan Krettek or Deacon Rev. Mr. Jerry Barnwell. Parishioners who are interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister or Visitor, please contact the Parish Office. Click Liturgical Minister Schedules, for schedule information. RECONCILIATION Saturdays - St. Mary -
4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. First Reconciliation Annually, leads children to full initiation and regular participation in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Children must have the opportunity to celebrate Reconciliation before First Eucharist. First Reconciliation helps children appreciate that God loves and is always ready to forgive them. Additionally, First Reconciliation enables children, with their parents, to make an informed decision about their readiness for immediate catechesis and deepens family expressions of forgiveness and sacramental preparation. Please contact Michelle Wirth for more information. CONFIRMATIONA Sacrament in which the Holy Spirit is given to those already baptized in order to make them strong and perfect Christians and soldiers of Jesus Christ. Confirmation imparts an increase of sanctifying grace which makes the recipient a "perfect Christian"; a special sacramental grace consisting in the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit and notably in the strength and courage to confess boldly the name of Christ. Please contact Michelle Wirth for more information. MARRIAGEArrangements for weddings must be made at least six (6) months in advance with the Pastor. One of the parties to wed must live within the Parish boundaries, or be a registered member, or be an immediate family member of a parishioner. Please contact Fr. Dan Krettek to make all necessary arrangements for marriage.
HOLY ORDERS and RELIGIOUS LIFE
Order is used to signify not only the particular rank or general status of
the clergy, but also the outward action by which they are raised to that
status, and thus stands for ordination. It also indicates what
differentiates laity from clergy or the various ranks of the clergy, and
thus means spiritual power. The Sacrament of Order is the sacrament by which
grace and spiritual power for the discharge of ecclesiastical offices are
conferred.
