Pre K-6 Religious Education
We covered the third parable, the Wedding Feast with the children and did so with a small skit. The main take away we wanted the children to have is the gates of heaven are wide open and it is up to us to decide to do the right things like being kind, showing forgiveness, having loving hearts and being respectful. These are some of the things that allow us to enter those gates and to partake in the feast that God has for us in his Kingdom of Heaven!
Reminder that we are collecting items for the Animal Rescue League of Iowa during the month of October. A table is set up downstairs where donations can be placed. The ARL Fetch list states the following items are needed: dry dog and cat food, kitten food must be Purina Kitten Chow, small stainless steel bowls, canned tuna, Easy Cheese in can, small soft dog treats, cat treats, clay litter (scoop-able or non-scoop-able). Thank you for your generosity!
Thanks to all parents who attended the meeting for First Reconciliation as we prepare the children for this very important sacrament.
