Charter for Protection
The Diocese of Des Moines released a Code of Conduct on July 31, 2003 that
applies to all those who work for the diocese or a parish in the diocese, and
all those volunteering for the diocese or a parish within the diocese. It also
applies to seminarians and the schools.
Chapel Ministry to Des
Moines Area Seniors:
Mill-Pond Retirement Community of Ankeny will
rebroadcast its Chapel Services on Mediacom's Public Access Channel 15.
“Mill-Pond Chapel" airs Tuesdays and Thursdays each week at 2:30 p.m. Chaplain
Rick Miller who preaches has been serving Mill-Pond for five years.
Interfaith Adult Education: St. Joseph Educational Center has been serving Roman Catholic
parishes in the Des Moines area since 1972. As part of its ministry, St. Joseph
Educational Center offers professional training for those engaged in Church
service or for those who just wish to expand their own knowledge of their faith.
St. Joseph Educational Center offers theological and spiritual formation to
equip lay professional and volunteer leaders for ministry in the Church. The
Center also assists some 23 parishes by providing adult faith formation
opportunities during the fall and spring semesters. For more information
