Theology on Tap Interested in learning more about how the challenges of today interface with your Catholic faith? Join us Wednesday, February 15, 7:00 to 9:00p.m. at Cory’s Irish Pub, 110 1st Street, Bondurant. For more information, contact Terri Hamm at 515-883-0161 or thamm@mercydesmoines.org. Meditative Prayer Time Join us Saturday mornings, 8:00 – 9:00 for a time of prayer, not teaching, though introductory information will be presented to new comers. The methods are the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, the prayerful reading of sacred scripture; St. Ignatius of Loyola’s practice of the daily Examen, the prayerful review of our daily experiences; and Centering Prayer, one method of the prayer of silence within our Christian tradition of contemplative prayer. We hope you’ll join us. Sessions: Feb. 11, 18, and 25, Social Hall Sunday Scripture Prayer and Study These sessions will be a time to pray, study, and discuss the upcoming Sunday Mass readings. Fr. Krettek will prepare a copy of the text of the readings and a set of study notes for the session and email them to anyone who would like to receive them, even those who will not be at the session itself. To receive these notes, please send an email to Fr Krettek at dkrettek@juno.com. Sessions: Wednesdays, Feb 8 (Hall), Feb 15 (Conference Room); Thursday, Feb. 23 (Hall) and Wednesday, Feb 29 (Hall) 7:00p.m.
